I really enjoy reading about the beautiful game of golf and more importantly, enjoy playing it even more!  I only took it up when I was about 14 after my uncle invited me along with the promise of paying me £5 for caddying for him one afternoon - it was during that round that my uncle (once we were away from the clubhouse and prying eyes!!) took out a couple of golf balls and asked me to hit the green with either ball.  The golf green was about 175 yards away.  I pulled out my uncle's 5-wood from his golf bag and set myself up to hit the ball on the fairway......

Needless to say, with no help or even any golf teaching aid (other than my own practice) prior to this excursion, I hit that green......twice!!

However, the fact I hit the green then has fortunately been repeated often with some helpful reading and learning materials!!

After years of trying to re-discover those feelings of euphoria when you hit a golf ball with little effort and it goes exactly where you want it to (and further than you imagined you could hit it), I then discovered the beauty of the internet and immediately paid for access to dozens of helpful golf e-books and handy tips.  Occasionally, I would buy a printed book too at my local bookstore.  You will find a selection of those golf e-books and printed golf books that I have found to be extremely useful and I can proudly boast that my golf handicap has come down from 24 to a much more respectable 13!
